NEW CLASSES IN JANUARY!

ADULT ABSOLUTE BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED FRENCH CLASSES.

Registration open for next session January 22nd – March 20th *scroll down to register* Beginning Monday, January 22nd our French Program Director Claire François is offering four Adult French classes.

Classes are immersive and dynamic with a focus on French conversation, vocabulary building and grammar with the workbook “Grammaire Progressive du Français, CLE International” (niveau débutant et niveau intermediate)

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS & REGISTRATION BELOW:

ABSOLUTE BEGINNER 1 MONDAYS 7:15PM-8:15PM

You have never studied French before, but you've always wanted to.

Perhaps you studied many years ago and can't recall a thing.

You don't know when to use de, la, les, le, des.

You don’t know or remember how to say: I work in New York, I have 3 sons.

You watch a French movie and recognize a sprinkling of words.

You took French in college a long time ago...

ABSOLUTE BEGINNER 2 TUESDAYS 7:15PM-8:15PM.

This class is the continuation of the Absolute Beginner class (semester 2). Students takingthis class graduated from Absolute Beginner 1 and/or have the following knowledge:

You can conjugate verb être, avoir, aller and faire.

You know what de, la, les, le, des is but you need more practice.

You know how to say: I work in New York, I have 3 sons.

You watch a French movie and recognize a sprinkling of words.

You took French in college a long time ago...

INTERMEDIATE MONDAYS 8:30PM-9:30PM
 

This class is for students with 1 year of Absolute Beginner French under their belt. Register

for this class if:

You can conjugate regular verbs in the present tense. You can conjugate common irregular verbs, such as être, avoir, aller and faire.

You know how to get articles and adjectives to agree with their nouns and have a basic knowledge of French vocabulary.

You know how to construct a basic sentence in French (subject, verb, object).

You watch a French movie and recognize a sprinkling of words.

You took French in college a long time ago...

ADVANCED TUESDAYS 8:30PM-8:30PM


You can conjugate regular and irregular verbs in simple past, present and future tenses.

You know how to get articles and adjectives to agree with their nouns and have a solid knowledge of French vocabulary.

You know how to construct more complex sentences in French (subject, verb, direct and indirect object ... )

You watch a French movie and enjoy understanding the plot and characters talking.

 

* 9 Week Semester: January 22 – March 27 (no classes on Feb 19 and 20).
