Firebird Ballet & The Wizard of Oz

Age 4-6 & 7-13

Dancers will have daily  Classical Ballet Technique, tap and musical theater classes. In their ballet studies they will also learn about the great dancers, choreographers and composers of the classical and neo classical eras (Swan Lake, Firebird, La Bayadere and more). 

In Musical Theater they will learn the dances, songs and stories of the great Broadway shows (Singin’ in the Rain, American in Paris, etc).

Performance: The end of the camp will culminate in a performance of excerpts from

 Igor Stravinsky’s Firebird Ballet and the musical The Wizard of Oz.

For the performance they will study costume and set design and create their own costumes and sets for the show!

Typical Daily schedule:

9:00-12:00

Classical Ballet technique

Tap

Musical Theater (dancers learn the songs, dances & stories of the great Broadway shows)

2x a week French class to accompany their ballet education.

12:00-12:30 Lunch (Pack Lunch)

12:30-3:00

Rehearsal for performances of: The Firebird and Wizard of Oz

Costume and Set Design: Dancers will create their own costumes and sets for the end of camp performance.

2 weeks: $1250 ($625 per week) 7/9-7/20 | Early bird $1125 ($562.50 per week)

3 Weeks: $1740 ($580 per week) *7/2-7/20 | Early bird $1566 ($522 per week)
